Shooting in the city

I don’t know what it is but there is something special about shooting in the city,especially during fashion week, this outfit was pretty minimal, a friend of mine said I made New York seem like it was the middle of summer haha!! “I do it for fashion not the weather”.

I realized that being a fashion blogger comes with many sacrifices and if that means taking photos in the middle of a snowstorm in shorts then so be it but {I definetly exaggerated a bit there} , but the point is you have to do what you have to do if you want to be successful. 

This dress is so comfy it’s like a velvety material is this best way I could explain it it’s pretty short so originally I wanted to pair it with a knee high boot how “predictable” I really wanted to wear these new ankle boots I picked up on sale in Burlington , plus the weather in New York was pretty nice and that made it a success.

NYFW street style

Its that time again when the streets of NYC is filled with  fashionable women and men showing off their creative and personal style, every street corners or colored doors with graffiti hosts a Blogger and a photographer capturing their outfits or just mainly the gorgeous sky scrapers here in the big city that never sleeps, apparently I’m quite guilty of that, even though I live in New Jersey which is right next door to the city I rarely seldom visit NY but when I do I have to take advantage of the time I have here.

Prior to attending Fashion week I planned a shoot with my photographer while I was in town even though I had limited time but we made it work, we shot theses photos in the SOHO area which is a well known area used by many for photo shoots SOHO is where you will find many top designer stores and cobbler stone streets it’s gorgeous and I just wanted to stay there forever but back to reality,here are a few of the photos from the shoot, let me know what your thoughts are.

 

 

New skincare products

Hello lovelies, today I’m sharing with you my new found skincare products- recently I made it to my classic facial appointment, which was amazing I spoke about this in my previous post I have really been taking the extra steps in my skincare.

I  visited the European wax center a few days ago because I wanted to get a bikini wax  which “I still ended up not getting “I really hadn’t made up my mind what treatment I wanted done anyway -while browsing around I introduced myself to a few products I saw on promotion buy “2 get 1 free” and you know I can’t resist a sale,these were a set of body collection which consist of the body lotion, body wash and the polish they came in  three  fragrances   which made it hard for me to choose because they were all amazing but fortunately I ended up choosing the graceful strut their explanation about these products was that supposedly they help with the eradication of ingrown hair problems and slowed the growth of hair on your body, which caught my attention, I also liked the fact that it was inexpensive  only $16 and I got a great deal, so far I have been using these products and I am really loving the way it makes my skin feels especially the body polish it’s a great exfoliant -not abrasive at all while the lotion is very moisturizing and they smell absolutely great with  lasting scent for hours  when used in combination I give them a thumbs up I have seen a difference in my skins appearance  I definitely will be repurchasing.

Summer dress

Summer is here and the temperature is rising a big trend this season is the off the shoulder look there is just something sexy about the shoulder being exposed, I found this dress at Target which retails for about $24.

This material is very cool-fits  loosely but still remains fun and flirty, I love shopping at TARGET stores because its budget friendly and you will be sure  to find affordable pieces for different occasions.

I paired it with nude pumps from Guess and the purse is from a random store,what do you think about my summer look ?.

It’s 80 degrees today and a perfect day for my outfit, I wanted to feel comfortable but edgy and this look pulled it off.

What I like most about this look is that it’s quite simple,it’s an appropriate length plus colors are definetly in this summer, I paired it with a white tank top from Lucky Brand and threw on my cross body bag-I am not a sneakers fan but today calls for an exception.

White summer dress

Happy Saturday guys,it’s the weekend and I am literally feeling myself, I was so caught up in trying to find an outfit today- my bed was filled with piles of clothes but  hope   I’m not the only one going through this epidemic -this dress I have had for a year now is from Marshalls it’s very chic,comfy but classy.

It’s very long since I am only 5″5 it tends to pull on the ground which isn’t comforting at all  but since I was keeping it on the casual side I paired it with a flat sandals from Espirit along with my metallic tattoos.

White linen dress+nude pumps

Whoever said no white after Labor Day is a damn liar just saying! The weather has been awesome and the dresses are out,my outfit today consist of this gorgeous linen white bell sleeve sun-dress, from Old navy i wanted to make it a bit more than casual so I paired it with these nude pumps from Francesco and added an off-white bag from a random store.

What I like about this outfit is that it’s quite minimal, casual but classy yet comfy and chic.

The linen material is great for the season because it is so light makes it breathable in an 80 degree weather

COLOR-BLOCK…101

Color-blocking is taking opposite solid colors and pairing them together to create an outfit.

Color blocking is a huge trend in fashion,it made it’s first hit in the 1960’s and later in the 1980’s,this technique was recently seen taking over the runways at fashion week,there are techniques in styling color blocked outfits here are 3 different types.

1.Monochromatic – one color different shades.

 2.Separate-mixed 2-4 colors as a contrast

 3.Stand alone-one color block garment.

Complete your look with at least one neutral color like grey,black,white or camel e.t.c, these colors can also be in accessories like jewelery, shoes or bags color block is a bold,fun creative way to dress {wear the trend,don’t let it wear you}.
